1972

Incorporation of Chevalier (S) Private Limited
Appointed the exclusive distributor of Toshiba lifts and escalators.
Wholly owned subsidiary of diversified Hongkong listed Chevalier International Holdings Limited, which also has three listed companies in Hongkong and over 150 subsidiaries operating worldwide.
Core business activities of Chevalier (S) Pte Ltd are the design, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commisioning, servicing and maintenance of lifts, escalators and other vertical & horizontal transportation equipment such as travellators and dumbwaiters.
The company is also engaged in property investment and management and the supply and installation of building products.

1983

First in Singapore to supply and install fully Microcomputer Controlled direct current gearless elevators.

1986

First in Singapore to supply and install its High-Speed Gearless Variable Voltage Variable Frequency Inverter Control lifts.

1989

First in Singapore to introduce "Command AI" series elevator group control systems applying "fuzzy logic"

1990

Acquired a 7-storey industiral building with 43,000 sq ft of prime industrial land.
Ventured into Malaysia through its 1st project.
Clinched the contract to supply and install Ecophon Acoustic Ceiling Panels & Martingale Aluminium Grids to UOB Plaza I.

1991

Appointed exclusive distributor of an international brand of Italian lifts.
First is Singapore to supply and install the highest and longest escalator without intermediate support.
Awarded the L6Status (equivalent of G8) by CIDB

1993

Clinched the contract to supply and install Ecophon Acoustic Ceiling Panels& Martingale Aluminium Grids to UOB Plaza II.

1994

Listed on the Mainboard of the Stock Exchange of Singapore and thereafter known as Chevalier Singapore Holdings Limited.
Clinched the contract to design, supply and installation of 568 sets of lifts for HDB.
Awarded Top toshiba Distributor in Asia-Pacific region.
Clinched the contract for "the most talked about" Bugis Junction.
Ventured into Cambodia via a hotel project in Phnom Penh.

1995

Introduced a new product line of international Korean brand of lifts.
Clinched the contract to supply and Install Ecophon Acoustic Ceiling Panels & martingale Aluminium Ceiling Grids to K K Hospital.
Clinched the contract to design, supply and install Lift, Escalator and Travellator at The Great World City.

1996

Introduced a new product line of a high quality Australian brand of dumbwaiter.
Acquired an industiral building with 541 sq metre of prime industrial land.
The company computerised its operations using Baan ERP to integrate its key business areas.
Clinched the contract to design, supply and install 50 sets of lifts at Signature Park which is one of the largest package for private housing development.

1997

1999

A Year 2000 team was formed to co-ordinate that "Year 2000 Compliance" means the ability to continue normal business operations without any material disruption arising from computer and electronic system failure to recognise and registed Year 2000 and beyond.
A new computer system was implemented at a cost of S$0.5 million.

2000

Clinched the contract to design, supply and install 75 sets of lifts at the Singapore MRT stations..

2001

2002

Attained ISO 9001 : 2000 Certification.
Has successfully secured the contract for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of lifts from the Land Transport Authority for Circle Line. The Lifts will be installed in station over five stages.

2003

De-listed from the Mainboard of the Stock Exchange of Singapore and thereafter known as Chevalier Singapore Holdings Pte. Ltd.
